The wind

The winds will largely determine where you'll be fishing and when unfortunately. Generally a strong ESE = fish Tantabiddi side, strong SW = fish marina side for example. There are some obvious tracks that are still accesible by 2wd.

Eastside

Try the marina if its blowing a SWer, stand on the rocks on the north wall and wait. Last year me and a mate go onto a few queenies on stickbaits aswell as a tiger of the north wall.

Learmonth also produced on the squid and school macks.

Westside

Sandy Bay, walk around the southern point and into follow the edge of the reef for spanglies.

on an westerly you can balloon off Learmonth jetty.
Have caught quite a few queenies there as well as tuna etc. (was the first time I got spooled....ahhh good times.)

sabiki rig for hardyheads straight off the jetty then on as live bait unweighted on something like a 7/0 straight out off the end. throw one of these out then squid while you are waiting.

ofcourse have a beer while squidding. buisy times
