Epic Fail !!

Not fishing related, but I just had to share this EPIC FAIL pic.....

The local (abundant) Kookas have been making a meal of our pond fish, so, on the advice of some SO CALLED EXPERT (Pah!) I bought a plastic owl.

I was ABSOLUTELY ASSURRED that, providing I moved said owl frequently, the kooka wouln't come anywhere near the pond because they would be absolute sh*t scared of the Owl.

Sunday morning, moved owl - only 2 MINUTES later - this shot was taken.

Got to go down in history as one of THE most epic failures!! :

....wait until I see the so called expert again!!!

Classic shot.

Someone had a bright idea that if we stuck rubber snakes on top of our old rescue boat it would scare the seagulls off,   HA HA the bloody white crows were there in twice the numbers trying to eat them, quickly removed them.

There is one of those owls

Wed, 2012-10-31 16:11

There is one of those owls across from my mums to scare away pidgeons.  The seagulls and Pigeons don't appear to be too scared of it.  Mum also had a problem with pidgeons roosting ontop the roller blinds - Bought one of these owls but hung it from a short peice of rope under the verandah so it moves in the wind - no more pidgeons (don't know if that would affect the Kooka's)

Hey Paul

Interesting idea! Might try that.

Actually, was kind of thinking that's the problem - I need an "anomatronic owl" - now that Walt has bought out GL's Industrial Light and Magic (Star Wars) - might see what they can do - bugga it - lets just gran Chew Bacca LOL

Interesting Paul

know someone who got an owl on his balcony because of the seagulls and what they left behind - full time job cleaning for him. No more gull problem with owl according to him.
