Made the most of reasonable mornings this week,on the water at 4:am both Wednesday and Friday.got my mates onto monster dhuies on wed and both had tackle failure after being hooked up for 10 minutes, they were both pretty sad,I made sure it didn’t happen to me and got this 91cm beauty,Friday was tough getting out to the bank and took nearly 2 hours, bite was on and off but Eric was on fire and caught a couple of nice bangers early.was good to be out there, home both days by lunch as the southerlies were cranking.

Knot failed / broke
Hi Alan
Both Alan and me. Mine was a snell on a that hanging 3 way swivel, 3 way crane swivels I think its called. Knot broke at the swivel, it was a 3 twist uni, so I think I'll use nail knots in future. For bait, it was a whole whiting. Beed doing quite well on whole fish on a snell lately.
As always, 2 great days out with Steve

Hi AndyAbout 45 metres out
Hi Andy
About 45 metres out from 2 rocks. Dont know if you read Steves previous post where we broke down on our way out and had 1 1/2 hours great fishing while waiting for sea rescue. Broke down nowhere near any of our marks and virtually nothing showing on the sounder and got 2 nice dhu and 2 nice baldies
Cheers
