Dream on Barra lovers!

I am sure all you Barramundi fishermen will enjoy this one; my mates recently caught this nile perch on the Nile river in Uganda, Africa. The fish weighed 113kg's and could unfortunately not be released as a crocodile attacked it when they had the fish boatside. I caught a similar size fish in the same location, but 4 of us could not pick it up far enough out the water to get its true weight; weighed 84 kg's with 1/4 of the body still in the water.

im thinking a stella 20000 with 80lb would be fun :)

youd hate to have many snags in the water if you only ran 20-30lb.

The fishing spot is below Murchison Falls and the water pumps thru there so 30lb tackle is minimum with 100lb leader. We use livebaits of up to 1 1/2 kg's and there are many snags there. Fishing from a boat is easier, but from the side it is awesome as you really have to force them before they get downstream as if they do its goodbye no matter what tackle you have.
