Having been a keen land based game fisho for years (mostly Tiger, Whaler & Lemon Sharks up Nth) finding that true 100%er was always in the back of my mind, a few years back I found the Double Plait it is without a doubt the most universal double/loop knot I have found, being able to tie it in braid, light or heavy mono, & rope (particularly for my muddie pots). I was never any good at tying  Biminis but after a bit of practice I can now tie it in the dark & did not take that long to master!
