well for me

it would depend on what you are using it for?

To my way of thinking, its a damn expensive bream/finesse reel. Unless you are a tournament angler or tackle whore who just wants the "best", IMO there are better and cheaper options.

love to use it to yank some

Sun, 2009-09-20 14:02

love to use it to yank some nice kilo breams out of the river (if i can find any) or maybe a couple of salmon trout would be fun too. nice and lite.. something within the 6lb - 10lb range of line would be nice.

as for gears, i've only got a couple in the 2500 area.. so.. yah. think i might be in need of one soon too.

I have the 2004 and 2508

Wed, 2009-09-30 07:27

I have the 2004 and 2508 Exist's.  Have fitted a nice little Valley Hill knob to the 2508.

Couldn't find a negative thing to say about them.

The drag is silky smooth, and the tiniest adjustment to the setting makes an instant difference.

They really are tournament drag system reels.
