Crayfish Biting

Has anyone else ever been bitten by a crayfish before? I have been rayfishing longer than I can remember diving and pots and when measuring a crayfish a couple of days ago had 1 latch onto my gloved finger, it had such a good bite could not pull or shake it off, dipped it into ice slurry and it let go.
I should listen to my own advice from safety days on hand safety when I used to say never put your finger where you wouldn,t put your d##k

I was putting a jumbo in the bag in about 34m and it bit my thumb. It was like sticking it in a vice and took about 30 seconds to get it off me. THis was about a month ago and I lost my thumbnail.
