Hi Guys
Im heading up to Coral Bay in two weeks (luckily just after the cyclone will hit) and I am taking up my Dingy for the first time. Im only looking like staying inside the reef but want to know where some good spots will be and what jigs/bait are catching the fish!!!

I'd be heading to North or South passage
Anchor, Burley, drift some baits out on the surface and bounce plastics on the bottom.

Yep,
I'd be heading near south passgage.
Make sure your outside of any sanctuary zones, looks for a nice bommie with good tidal/current flow and Anchor up.
Should be able to attract some Emps, Cods Trevs etc.

Not much in bateman at all
Not much in bateman at all except the odd trev or spango if you are real lucky. But other than that just schools of real little tuna.
It can be hard going in the bay with just a dingy, but ther are fish to be found. Do you have a sounder? If you do just troll around untill you find somthing worth a look.
If you are keen to stay inside, like Matt said look for bommies in the deeper water around south passage. You jsut gotta beat the sharks.
If you go for a drive further North or South make sure grab a map for the sanctuary zones.

That sucks. Pricks should be hung up to dry. Thats a timely reminder to put a motion alarm in the boat when I am up there. Any recommendations ?

bump
As I'm heading up there soon i thought it a good idea to resurrect this thred, although I'll be ain a slightly larger (5m) plate ally
I'll take onboard the dissapointing observation though that gear is getting nicked out of your boat which is very upsetting (being polite.....)

Too many people, too crowded.
With so many people around, odds are there will be a scumbag or two.
