Can this be fixed?

I am wondering if the tipped of this rod can be fixed? It was crushed when it got caught between my laundry door.

It is a Lemax President rod. Soz for not a clearer picture. Took with an iphone.

replace the tip

You should be able to replace the tip easy, just need to get a new guide to replace it with then its just a fairly simple job to remove the old tip and put the new one on.

Cut off any binding thread that secures the tip, heat the shaft with a match, twist off the tip with a rag, take the tip to your tackle shop and match it up with a replacement tip guide which you can then araldite back on.

Don't use araldite!!!

Just use hot glue, strong enough and it makes it easy to take the next one off.

If you take it to a "real" specialist tackleshop they will fix it for you on the spot in about 5 minutes.

Its not even worth doing yourself for the cost.

Can I take it to BCF? Can they fix it? Coz I live south of the river and dont really know any rod specialist around here. I already bought another rod but not for replacing this. I love the feel of this, its very sensitive and its just something bout it that makes it awesome. Im not a fishing expert so I cant really describe.

Oceanside is south of the river in O'connor and will be able to sort it out right there on the spot. Had one tip replaced and it took only a minute or two. Didnt cost much either. Had another tip snap off and they were even able to send it away to get a silicon tip on it, and the guy redid the binding and epoxied it on so it looks just like the other guides (just a little shorter spacing).

Alright for getting things u know you want at a cheap price but better off going to the local guy down the road whos a specialist and support the local comunity id rather pay more for good service and knowledge than go to a fishing supermarket...
