busso 2 morrow

heading down to busso 2 morrow morning for the week. i already know were to get my squid and kgs and crabs but i am looking for a bit more excitment. we will have a cannoe but yeah cant really go out anywhere with that. i am very keen to try out my new smith niari 55 even if on like snapper and things like that doesnt have to be sambos. and also i wanna see if i get a mulla of one of the beachs. so basically i am asking 2 things. is there anyone down in busselton who is going out for a fish and has a spot or 2(going with my mate) open if we could tag along and chip in for fuel and bait (even supply some fresh squid). and the second question is what beachs should we try for mulloway or fish along those lines?

many thanks.

not sure if i'll be going

not sure if i'll be going out as the weather looks like poo for the next week or so .. try launching your canoe at canal rocks and paddeling out to the sand patch to the left of the boat ramp on a reasonable day .. heaps of whitting, squid, herring and sambos there .. just mush up mulies and throw them around with a live bait out the back.

Of course it does Clint, why? Because I'm flying back home for 7 days and I was thinking of putting the boat in. That thought always turns the weather around. Blame me, go on, I can take it.

Cheers
Dale

not too dangerous fishing

not too dangerous fishing for sambo's out of the canoe .. i do it out of a very small yak :)
the area youd be fishing in is calm in most weather and your only a 100m off the canal rocks (its safe enough to swim too and climb up if you flip :).. and your only a few 100m from the ramp just dont go around the corner on a lumpy day

Jetty?

Go out along the jetty, there hasn't been much action along there with it being closed so you never know what could be out the end.......
