Bundegi queenies
Submitted by fab on Sun, 2013-07-14 07:55
Has anyone been to the bundegi boat ramp and fished the flats for queenies? Going to give it a go when we go up in september. I have a gold rooster popper, another blue popper and heaps of gold twisties. Am i on the right track? Any info would be awsome. Will be relesing all our fish, as i reckon these fish are way to beautiful to kill.
Cheers Fab

Didnt fish the bundegi area
Didnt fish the bundegi area but the queenies a friend and i were catching, took a real liking to our tango dancers and bullchops. Bit pricey compares to the lures you have but happy with the end result i guess. I did use a twisty and on that particular day only got one hit.

I didnt try the maria
I didnt try the maria bluescodes slims as i didnt know about them at the time, but they cast a mile and i think they would do even better than them 2 lures iv stated (best darting action). Just change the hooks for sure. Awsome lures/ bit pricey yet put rubbish hooks on them pisses me off.

Yeah as hookt said get some Maria Bluescode sinking stick baits with orange head and white body. But change hooks and split rings. They are a awsome lure and cast awsome.
They have them at the tackle world store up there.

Go slowish with nice long
Go slowish with nice long strides they dart really well. Thats how i fish them anyways but they are an easy lure to work slow or fast.

was up there a few weeks ago,
was up there a few weeks ago, flicking small lures and poppers from the boat ramp, got on to a few small trevs and queenies then they went quiet. swapped to a different lure then got smashed by a monster queenie who also most spooled me but then i got busted off bit of fun, always head up there when its not on for the boat.
Cheers Joel
