Try over at Buffalo [on the beach over the head of the estuary ],the old cut or down at Hungry hollow about 1/2 a k south of the surf club
All should turn up silver bream, herring, salmon trout with Buffalo a possible mulloway on dark and small sharks after dark

3/4 down i would say on

Wed, 2008-11-05 19:58

3/4 down i would say on sunset rising tide. Plenty of squid, small baitfish from mid section hang around and the bigger fish come in to play later on.

Just berley up and get a slick going you have endless possibilities from that place. Hell of a long walk, dont forget your bait haha,

just b4 the gates of the uwo, there is a small platform and on it will be some weather measuring thingy. fish there... see huge herring and mac landed from there. evening you would want to hang around the rest area which is in the middle on the jetti for squid.

just make sure u bring everything coz u dont want to walk back to the car park once u started fishing. its about a good 15mins walk from start to end.

Yep!

Yep! If you're going to make the trip down here and you don't have a 4WD then I reckon the Busso jetty is your best bet. Pity though coz there are some great off road beach fishing spots.

Don't forget your squid jig. If you don't catch any fish, you can still usually go home with a feed of Squid. Best spot to squid...? just look for the ink stains on the jetty.

Good luck.

when I finally get there ( house sold I think) Are the squid calamari or the coarser variety?

BTW its 25 minutes to walk the full length & Ive caught KGs at the pergola halfway along where the weed breaks to sand patches.

I`d rather be fishin`!!!
