Boat flooring
Submitted by 7739ian on Mon, 2008-09-15 09:13
I have just had some brilliant aly work done on my old Quintrex 4.4m dinghy - rails, more rocket launchers than the Taliban, floor frame and a locker/casting platform at the front. I have to fit the floor and locker cladding and am wondering if polyethylene or polypropylene would be better than marine ply - has anyone tried plastics as flooring and can advise on doing so?

My boat has polyethylthene
My boat has polyethylthene side pockets and they swell and buckle in the heat. I would think a big sheet on the floor would do the same thing. To big an expansion rate for flooring I would think.

Go the marine ply , a place near me has the 12 mill 1220x 2400 roughly for around 60 dollars a sheet , pretty cheap if you compare the prices around
