Big Lagoon Query

Heading up to Denham to stay for a week at the end of July and probably taking a small Dinghy with me
I was looking at Big Lagoon and it says you can launch a small tinny there but had some questions
It says you can't fish north of the camp site so it looks like you're limited to that narrowish area which leads to the ocean mouth with a deep channel in the middle
If you fish in there can you drop in the deep channel for anything decent (ie Cod or Black/Pink Snapper etc) or do people usually venture out of the ocean mouth from there to do their fishing?
I've looked at Gregories and Bottle Bay which look great but being a very small tinny the sheltered area is probably better to start with ;)

Big lagoon
I have been where you are talking about after getting good advice from a local. The road in is good as pros net inside the lagoon. The fishing in the channel is excellent at times with the right tide.2 hr before high 2hr after as per most places. It fairly rips in and out the rest of the time and on low would not have a lot of water and you can get stuck if you go out of the channel. As the tide slows berley as much as you can and you should get black snapper and big bluebone.I got onto some small pinks near the ramp on the outgoing.there is a few channel marker sticks near to the lagoon itself.I may go there myself on my way north in a few weeks as i might spend some time in Denham
just do it.
