Between the capes

hi everyone,
I know salmon fishing between the capes is a really good place for salmon fishing ate, but I am not sure where between the capes is best? I was planning on doing the day trip from Perth on Friday to head down between the capes, but I really don't know any beaches along there that are good for salmon. So which beaches that are north of Hamelin bay between the capes are good and reliable beaches for salmon at this time of year? Not looking for your secret spots just a nice place to spend the day at between the capes with my family.
thanks,
lachie

It'll depend on swell but a reasonable bet would be Smiths Beach. .. Yalingup... Injidup beach around Mitchells Rocks... there'll be a big crew fishing. East of Cape Naturaliste is Bunkers Bay. .. Eagle Bay. . Meelup.. these will have lower swell and some what safer and easier to fish than the west coast or between the Capes. In saying that there maybe less salmon as well atm.The Capes being mentioned are Cape Leeuwin at Augusta and Cape Naturaliste north west of Dunsborough. Hope this is useful in the quest for a fish.

Don't forget to wear a life preserver
You can get a loan one from a lot of shops down that way, being so easily available it would be criminal not to wear one when fishing from the rocks.
Also selfish, by not taking simple percussions to protect your life, you could put some poor bloody volunteers life at risk as they try and save you if you go in.
Having said that, I hope you have a great holiday and get stuck into some salmon.

Inji's
Injudup beach is great when the swell is down, but be mindful of the strong undertow and thick kelp if taking young ones.
