BEST HOOKS

Need some new trebles for the Mackeral lures.
What are you guys using ?
What are the strongest ?
What would be the best split ring to use also ?
Got straightened out by a big mack this morning and that cheezed me off a bit.
Thanks in advance

Rofl, I'll answer this here
Rofl, I'll answer this here as well ;)
The fish can't crush single like trebles, they are much easier to remove from mack's faces as well. In order to get the eye facing the right way, you tend to have to go to a hook like a decoy swinging single, varivas seriola or one of the other assist hooks on the market.
Good split rings; owner and decoy

Trebles
Owner ST66TN are the way to go and Owner split rings to suit, I don't know what lures you are using so it's hard to tell you what size. I think if you're only targeting Mackies I think they will serve you well, but if you want to go stronger the ST76 are the ones, but I don't think it's necessary.

I have always used
3 ex strong VMCs and had no dramas. Even on 50lb braid. And 3 ex strong split rings to go with em. Correct me if Iam wrong, sounds like you are trolling so dont need excessive drag pressures anyways. Just enough to set hook really
FEEEISH ONNN!!!
