Bait run for trip north

Got the tub back on friday and thaught it best giving it a bit of a run to see how it goes. While at it collect a bit of bait for next month.
Motor ran well and nailed some nice whiting for bait and a feed

Filleted up the western
Filleted up the western butter. Anyone had any luck using them for bait . They are in huge numbers out from mandurah in the shallows.

Agree Whiting= good fish.

Used heads up shark bay
Used heads up shark bay before. Worked well.
All the bigger whiting that got filleted i kept the heads vac packed .

You certainly cleaned up on the whiting
They are very good size sand whiting well done, did you pick them up on the drift or anchor .

when using the whiting as
when using the whiting as bait, do you put them out whole, or fillet them? ive started keeping the heads of all those icatch, havent put them to the test yet...

havnt tried localy but will be giving it a bash . up north they work great . single hook through the eye of the head and assuming the same for the whole ones

Butterfly them
Dhues smash them. Up nrth reds love them. Deep drop baits puka / reds ect unreal

Is it back to Exmouth Russ? been a while hey.
The butterfish are great bait for anything on the bottom.
