Arvo fish

Got to knock off early today for a change and was on the water at about 1.30pm. I have just bought a new second hand boat and needed to take it for a wrap to see what it can do.

I decided to do a bit of exploring to find a bit of new ground.

It started off a bit slow with a couple of red mullet and I scored a nice size sand whiting about 30cm. This was in about 22 metres of water mind you. I then bagged a nice little squiddly.

Was trying another drift and scored a first. A KGW of 39cm!!! This is okay. Try it again. A 43cm king george. Beauty. Lost a couple of others. Drats..

Gee they pull hard for their size. Havent eaten them yet. On standby in the fridge!!

That was the first fishing sesh from the new/old boat and a first of KGW for me.

Will have to get out again and proove it wasnt a fluke.

Sorry no photos

kg's on stand by, never happens here, they get eaten real quick , once you have tried fresh kg you will agree, that sandy is a good size at 30cm with a couple of nice fillets

Took damo6230 out near the same spot and got another KG. It went 43cm. Happy with that. Found a new spot. We found it hard going though with lots of fish on the sounder but not much happening. Will have to work on size now. A 60cm whiting would do it for me!!
