never seen
An arrow metro before. You going to eat it or bait? In my opinion they are nowhere near as good eating as the southern calamari

I fish a spot in the metro
I fish a spot in the metro that has them on a regular basis generally at least one whenever I fish there, been hitting the spot for about 6 years and rarely misses, also has southern calamari on it. Do not fish it all the time though, just a couple of times a year. Got one there last week.

On the Western Squid
On the Western Squid Wranglers Facebook page, there are a few guys who regularly get Arrow squid in particular spots in the very metro area.

Must be more than 1 sort of
Must be more than 1 sort of arrow squid too, as I remember see some in Albany when I was young and the "arrow" part was a diff shape to the one above.
They all came from deeper water too.

Arrow
Doesnt look like a typical arrow squid. http://bestfishguide.org.nz/seafood/arrow-squid/
Actually looks like a hybrid between an arrow and calamari.
Seems there are quite a few different squid species in Southern Australia so maybe one of these.

I found they pull a bit
I found they pull a bit harder and a bit more aggressive than the southern calamari.
