Anyone seen this before (worms???)

Hey lads, anyone seen this in fillets before.
This was in one side of an 8 bar. Looked a lot different to worms ive seen in fish before
Flesh was still firm and clean

ive had that before in a rankin i caught and filletted in coral bay.
Dane the local charter guru said was no dramas and when cooked would disappear...which it did.we ate it, tasted great and im still alive.

We had it in a 37kg 8 bar caught off Jurien Bay, but the smaller ones were ok. I cut out most of the real bad bits, but ate the rest and it was fine. I spoke to a knowledgeable Fisheries Research guy who said it wouldn’t hurt you....and it didn’t.

found that in a redthroat caught up at Exmouth last year..., wasn't game to eat it, but a mate who lives up there and works for fisheries said it was fine....im a bit of a chicken tho... from what I understand, freezing the fillets can often help kill anything, and then just make sure is well cooked might be wise...

Very common in many fish
Very common in many fish around Onslow found them in just about everything up there rankin, coral trout, red emperor, scarlets list goes on . Not pleasant to look at but we just trim it out
