(almost) ready to paint - bait table progress
Submitted by randall df223 on Sun, 2015-03-08 17:56
finished off cutting all the holes and trimmed the fixed cutting board to size. drilled through the ally top so that board can be screwed from underneath. fitted the drain top and bottom, bung and through deck skin fitting for the intake. drilled the mounting g holes on the boat and fitted it. Cut the holes for the overflow outlets but haven't drilled for the fastenings yet.
Just need to tidy up a few burrs and it is almost ready to paint.

The drain in the top will be
The drain in the top will be connected by tube inside the tank to the outlet bottom middle at the back, so anything going down there won't contaminate the live bait tank. leakage under the lid will so that is something I need to watch for.

Hey gilly. put the whole
Hey gilly. put the whole tank together tonight and filled it to the overflow drains. (barring a few leaks where the skin fitting are and will be sealed upon final installation) it took 4 garden buckets to fill. so what's that? about 36 litres give or take a couple.
so these next couple of days will see me give it a good sanding, a clean off, and a coat of etch primer. I am hoping to get it painted on saturday and final fitting onto the boat late Sunday.

Would like to paint it first
Would like to paint it first if possible and we're running out of weekends before our annual holiday to monkey mia in april (throw in a wedding before that as well). The sea trial may be as simple as a quick run on the river one morning when the family have a sleep in (may throw a crab net in fir good measure).
