I meet him, was working at Western Construction early 2000's, he was in our shop as a TA...on a 5" grinder all day.
Didn't speak to him too much myself, but he was popular with the lads telling stories.
Worker with one of the Bra Boys also..Kody on Burrup 2016, same he was up there as a TA on a grinder.

Seriously is Nat Fyfe not the worse set shot in AFL history...dead set fkn useless....week after week, year after year, he's lucky to kick a point, most going out on the full.
After last week..I thought, here we go, two goals down need the experienced fella to slot one, 35m out in front...out on the full..

Fyfe has been caught holding
Fyfe has been caught holding the ball more times in the last month than the rest of the shockers put together and his disposals are missing the mark and leaving team mates under the pump.
The whole team needs to get some kicking lessons. Hard to watch at the moment.

In a world of corporate footy, sport scientists, constant rule changes and clickbait footy media we are watching the emergence of Naicos, Horne-Francis, Reid and then throw in Warner, Gulden, Serong to join players like The Bont, Cripps and co.

Agreed Frosty. There are a lot of very watchable footy players getting around at the moment.
On another note, has anyone noticed there are a lot of calls of not 15m at the moment? It seems like it's something they have been told to get on top of. Good to see as there have been some shockers in the past.

Quite a bit of chatter in
Quite a bit of chatter in regards to Harley Reid getting home sick and missing family with his recent leave and own admission to spending his birthday alone and other small things, he's still a kid so those small things mean a hell of a lot to a kid who has never lived away from home.
The ridiculous amount of exposure and pressure from the WA media looks to be taking it's toll.
Vic teams will be salivating and lining up with recruiting bosses working overtime to undermine West Coast and spend big money before he signs any new long term deal.
This kid will be the richest player in the game in no time.

They wont back off. They will
They wont back off. They will continue the pressure and tell him that is home sick, they will tell him that it is a bad idea to be in WA and playing for the eagles.
They will continue to tell him shit until he believes them about how hard he has it playing for a successful team (after we win a permpership) does a Juddy and then the media will say 'told ya so!`
You know that if you are told something long enough you can end up believing it.

I agree mate. I think Harley enhoys the attention and will until he doesn't! Eventually that amount of scrutiny will take its toll on anyone.
I know Juddy well and to be fair he always said he wanted to finish his career back in Vic. I thought he'd stay around for one more contract extension but in the end a couple of things happended that brought it forward. At the time it seemed like the end of the world but we all know how it ended up with that trade!

Look, i agree that the eagles werent in a good spot in 2007 and as a leader, if Juddy didnt feel like he was being listend to, I can understand why he left.
Certainly, I feel that the eagles won out of that trade though I think that if the eagles had kept their shit together for a bit longer in the mid 2000's then they could have won more flags. But in saying that, jeez 2018 was sweet!
I look forward to the next one.

Chris has always said all that stuff happening in 2007 didn't impact his decision, but only he really knows. He had some other reasons to go back to Vic and I respect that. Plus we got our number 1 goal kicker in exchange for a has been with a dodgy groin!

That umpire needs a spell.
That umpire needs a spell. The clock had stopped and it wasn't like the Pies player threw it to a player 10m away to gain a positional advantage.
Similar thing happened to Petch a few weeks ago where the ball was out of bounds and he knocked it down and got a 50 paid against him. He was killing the ball at that spot rather than fisting it into the crowd.
These umpires seem to be in competition with each other to see who can bring out the most obscure rule during a game all the while making blatant errors on throws, holding the ball and forwards getting scragged.
Maggots... lol

The holding the ball
The holding the ball decision have me stuffed. you get penalised for being crushed under a heap of players when tackled as soon as you touch the ball, but if you get swung around 360 degrees in a tackle and are clearly caught it's play on. Goal umpires might have to employ guide dogs soon as well.

Either I'm stupid or I missed something (most likley both) but all of the tipsters in the West except for 5 have tipped the Suns to beat the Bombers on Sunday. Besides the Cats what decent sides have they beaten? On the other hand Essendon have been towelled up by Port Adelaide in Adelaide and beaten by Sydney in Sydney. Obviously I am in need of some tipping help! Forgetting to tip Port Adelaide last night was a good start!
