You could be right Jack, but the one good thing thus far, the outfield is very quick, if the ball can get between a couple, it's been boundaries so far.

I'm just getting updates on my phone but it sounds as though the wicket has held up well so far, Would be good to build a lead of a 450+ and bat half the day tomorrow...
I unlike most of you wish Kholi wasn't injured, I'd like to see how he goes against this attack on this pitch when under pressure after a great first innings thus far from the Aussies.... Certainly one of the best batsmen in the world but this series he's not had any success so credit to our bowlers...
To me I'd like to see Australia beat them with their strongest team on the park so I hope Kholi bats thats forsure...
I get the feeling most of you blokes would enjoy the Aussies "kicking" their asses all the way to the gutter and winning by a squillion runs to shove it up their arses because well um i dont know.....
Might be a bit of tall poppy syndrome but its kinda got me beat....
I hope this test match goes down to the wire and the Aussies win it with some good cricket, just like the time Michael Clarke took 3 wickets in 5 balls in Sydney in about 2008 to win the series against India...

Yeah, Warner is a complete liablity away from pitches that aren't like those in Australia. Saha has rescued India before so its not surprising him scoring those runs. I can see Renshaw just grinding out a hard fought half century and Smith usually steps up but it looks as if Jadeja will eat us alive tomorrow.

If nothing else Starc being a left arm bowler leaves some nice footprints for Lyon to bowl into. Without Starc on the team Lyon struggles a bit.
Meanwhile Jadeja has all the rough foot marks from Hazelwood and Cummins to bowl at, so will probably be way more effective.

Going to go close i think. Im happy with the team at the moment, think we have a good balance and are putting up a good fight in a tough country. The pitch was a road for 4 days and is only just going hairy now.
Starc is a big loss, but Cummins was impressive. I think we need the same team for a while to build the confidence for the ashes.
We are doing a lot better than when the saffas came and showed us how to play.

Good job by the Aussies to see that out. Shaun Marsh proves again why they select him with a second 50 of the series which, combined with Handscomb, saved our backsides. Considering our recent record in India (actually subcontinent in general!) we've done really well this series with a reasonably young team. We were hot favourites to go down 4 nil and now India have to win the last test to regain the trophy.
