Video Surveys Of Sub-Sea Locations

Here at Holland SubSea Solutions we are mad keen about fishing and everything sub-sea. To that end we are looking at performing some video and photographic surveys (including GPS data) of recommended Perth Locations with our Remotely Operated Vehicles for free publication on our website

We are initially looking for popular spots (rockwalls, piers, reefs, etc.) so we can develop a section on our website.

So if you've always been curious about what's at the bottom of that wharf or want to know the perfect location to drop your line, give us your thoughts.

Surely a few of the metro marina walls need a look!

Edit: Also good work for offering this service (I going to assume it's a bit of a self promotion for the company too, but that's fine!) as I'm a marine biologist for a consultancy firm in Perth and have worked with ROV gear a fair bit - It's not cheap that's for sure.

Not so much fishing, but theres a few dive spots at Rotto that would make interesting looks. E.g. Roe, Crystal Palace for some of the more well known ones.

Re lumps of shore, I think most would be fairly guarded for demersal lumps, but the 5 fathom or 3 mile would be interesting.

How Deep?

Our units are rated to 150m however we prefer to keep them to under 80 due to umbilical length.

Rockwall Demonstartion

Wed, 2013-04-24 19:41

To begin with I think a thorough investigation of part of the Mindarie rock wall will be a good demonstration and supply some interesting footage to the more curious.

Keep the suggestions coming and we will keep you all posted on the development of the website. Weather permitting we should hopefully have the resources free to complete the survey within the week.

I think it would also be interesting if you could show some sounder shots and what ground they relate to ie how to identify flat coral or caves and ledges perhaps....?

cheers...
