TRADIES
There must be quite a few on here, and I’m sure 99% of you do the righty
I too am in the building industry, so am quite aware how excellent it is to finish early in the warmer months, get home and head out for a fish or whatever.
For the past 14 months we have had a new two storey house going up next door, and the amount of tradies who think it is OK to start throwing ladders around/scraping back render off the slab/start a compactor/deliver bricks with a forklift/dismantle scaffolding/chasing conduit and pipes/cranking the cement mixer/use a nail gun/ yada yada yada, well before 7am, in suburbia – It is NOT OK!
It is FAR from OK.
I don’t care whether “ The suns up lady” “Oh?Can you hear that?” “give me a break, I’ve got heaps on today” “some of us have to work for a living” “ I’ve got things planned for this arvo” or any other wanky excuse. That law is in place for a reason.
Unfortunately for these tossers, who know better, and ignored my request to stop, I have the home phone number for the MD of the building company.
I think it only fair that if I am woken, then so should he be. And his wife. And their new bub.
And as for the total prick who started throwing his scaffolding around this morning at …. get this ….. 5.15am …… are you for f**king real?????
I know this is a common occurrence as I hear it all the time from others, so if it IS you, can you please go for a fish at first light, instead of after work…….
I need all the beauty sleep I can get
LOL … that feels better

Pale Ale. The days are actually longer the further south you get at this time of year :-) The luxury we have is that in winter the days are longer up this way.

I find this amuzing being a truckie! Come down Greenmount Hill with a fully loaded b-double on the jake brake and the heavies are in the yard waiting for you trying to write you up for making too much noise, roll into a town like MT Magnet, Meeka, Newman or anywhere up that way anytime of the day or night on the jake and no one cares as long as you are doing the speed limit when you get to the speed limit sign. Its a funny world we live in.

grano workers
sorry paul ,i was a grano for 15years,point is when you lay a slab ,it is usualy dictatated by the concrette suppliers ,even at 530 am,and yes most work in a built up area is 7am till the sun goes down and all the new estates, industrial areas anytime day or night .6 days a week,so i guess you have to suck it in and harden up every1 who knocks the tradesmen
