Swan Fishing Friday

Gday All,
With the weather looking pretty rough this week me and a mate thought we would give the river a shot this friday, i have been fishing mainly around maylands for a bit of bream which has been doing well, but i thought with the rain coming it might be worth taking the tug a bit further downstream, maybe chasing some tailor around mossies, or flathead.
havent done alot of boat fishing in the swan and especially not in the cooler months, does anyone else have some good ideas for the swan this time of year, and what has been running of late?
Any advice/ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks again Dan

Haven't fished the swan for a while but i reckon the storm and rain will stir everything up and get them active. Lures with dark colours and loud rattle or heavy vibration would be my bet (easier to find in clouded up water). I'd be giving flat shads and micro vibes a go, have caught a few on them, but i'm still a bream-on-lure rookie.

Bream are all over the place,
Bream are all over the place, the day after the storm dies off I'd be wading the flats casting vibes & blades over the drop offs if I wanted to target them on lures. Pretty late for flathead, you might get a couple of stragglers but not really enough around now to target them specifically. If you want to target tailor do it in the ocean, the fish you come across will be much larger than what's in the river at the moment. Personally I'd skip on the small fish if you have some heavier gear & head down around the freo area to target the mulloway that should be pushed out by the extra flush of fresh.
Just because I smile & nod does not mean I believe the crap coming out of your mouth.

thanks Gents for the feedback, wanted to take the boat out for a run so might give few spots a bit of a go and mix it up a bit betwen lures and baits, looks to be a little rough out on the open water.
