Siesta park, busso
Submitted by Tiamungie on Wed, 2012-09-05 19:11
The family is heading down to busso for the weekend and we are staying at siesta park. Hoping to to fish with the kids (landbased only). Heard the jetty in front is ok to wet a line. Does anyone know what is around down there at the moment. Any tips would be greatly appreciated
Cheers

Unfortunatly for you
the bay has been turned to choc milk this week with the cold fronts and the forecast for Sat/Sun is 15-20knt Nly's. Probably the worst direction possible.
Good luck.

The jetty is ok, lots of rays
The jetty is ok, lots of rays there. I'd be casting out squid or other bait from the beach, could get whiting, flathead, herring.

Try the Jetty...
Either at Siesta or The Busso Jetty. I was talking with Phil Tickle who is the owner of Siesta Park and he said a holiday maker had caught a 6.5 kilo Pink Snapper off the Siesta jetty - even he was pretty surprised. I'd have a try for bream and pilch in the diversion drains and float a Mulie near the mouth of those just away from the current of water for a BIG mulloway.

the jetty at siesta is good
the jetty at siesta is good for millions of herring and heaps of squid at night i got a decent flathead off there few years ago, take crab nets aswell you would have good chance of gettin a feed, but as ''Bruce'' said tonns of rays so when ur crabbing keep an eye there not onto of your net!
