Casting to mackerel

 Hi,

heading up to shark bay in a couple of weeks.  I have a saltiga dorado 70s (16lb) and a certate 3500 and plan to keep it rigged with a slice to cast at bust ups on the surface.  Too light?

 definitely not. The rod has so much guts - so much stopping power. 3500s are perfect for light mackie/tuna reels
