Hey c.g try taking it a little easier on the key board. These blokes know plenty. Take their leads about your profile and work you way in to the knowledge base slowly with feedback on ideas passed on.
anywhere from Shark bay to Broome. For really Big fish or big numbers of them you'll need to find somewhere remote as anywhere with easy access will have been smashed.
If your fishing landbased then shallow rocky areas are very productive as are coral bombies, broken ground etc if you have a boat. Can even get them in the tidal creeks / mangrove creeks (as long as there is a bit of rock / structure) around Hedland / Karratha.
Use a snapper rig (paternoster) with at least 60lb leader... they are pretty good at snapping you off in rocks / holes etc, and are very strong, dirty fighters.
rock crabs are the best bait, but prawns, crayfish legs / horns work well too
Stand on a shore looking out to sea, reach one arm straight out in front of you then spread your fingers, pick one fingers direction , note it down and follow it, should point directly to fish "SOMEWHERE
