Best value for money Bream sticks

I will be in the market for  another bream combo soon (Thanks Mr Tax Man).  It'll be used for chucking little hardbodies and plastics into the snags from my tinny. Preferably rated 1-3kg and matched with a 1000 size shimano reel. Just wanted peoples opinions on the rods aroung the 150 mark or less, as I would like to add a nice reel to it with out spend more then about 400 for the pair.

I have to agree with Matt, Daiwa Generation black are definitley one of the best rods in that price range.

I'd go the Generation Black Itchy Twitch (1.5-3kg, 6'10), with a shimano stradic 2500, and some 6lb sunline super pe and I reckon you'll be sweet.

Some may consider these old tech however Anaconda Innaloo have had Berkley Dropshot graphite ( brown - series 2 ) in 6, 6'6, and 7 foot for $60 for a couple of years now. Have the 6 ft and find myself using it more than my expensive rods. Stiff blank with a fast tip, launches lures out easily. Spend the remainder on a sweet reel and quality line mate

Berkley Dropshot is hands

Berkley Dropshot is hands down the best value rod you can get & one of the toughest. If you want something more then go with the Samaki Zing. They are incredible rods for the money & come in 1 or 2 peice models. At $159 you can still hang a Stradic off it & come in under $400.

Bream outfits

Tue, 2013-06-11 09:11

Hi mate, We stock the Daiwa Generation black rods. The 6ft 10" Itchy twitchy 1.5-3kg is an awesome model. Match this with a Stradic ci4 1000 and your in business. Just put the same outfit together in the shop and it feels a million bucks. This outfit we can do for $389 for you. Feel free to swing past and check it out.

Cheers

Get a Gen Black and a Rarenium Ci4 2500. They have 2 Spools, ALOT more strong and resiliant than the Stratic and with 7kg (or is it nine? I forgot) of drag, you can use it for tuna, snapper or anything big. I use mine for Breaming, Egi and skippy fishing on one spool (8lb sunline, I use it for heavy structure breamming) and then the other with 15lb Shinobi and caught Tuna, sharks and snapper.

(If ad has been deleted A Gen black drunkenmonkey and a rarenium 1000 for $300, though it was to much of a bargain to pass up!)

Sorry Oceanside- I'll have to come in a few weeks and spend some money anyway... have some reels that could go some upgrading
