Hi people, I just purchased a Furuno Elite 7 and was wondering what the best frequency is the best to use for sonar?
Also what other tricks do you guys have to get the most out of the unit. I also only need it to go to a max of 35m?
Thanks

Cant say I’ve heard of the Furuno elite, I’m assuming you mean Lowrance elite 7???
Tranny wise i think your abit confused also, im fairly sure the elite is duel frequency and your choices are 83/200 and 50/200 being the most popular. I would be going for the 50/200 but then again if you’re not going any deeper than 35m it won’t make any difference as you will always be on high frequency (200). Have a search through the site for sounder talk, Paul H posted a good write up that will get you started.

..yes sorry, it's a Lowrance, had a bit of a brain fart!!!!!
When running through the settings you can either select 83 or 200, just wondering what the difference would be?
